The Friends of the Putnam Valley Library have generously donated the following museum passes. Each pass can be checked out for four days using your Library card. Museum passes must be returned to the circulation desk and not placed in the outside drop-off bin.

6. American Museum of Natural History
Two (2) vouchers per household per year. Each voucher provides access to the museum and one (1) exhibit/show. Available as long as supplies last. Reservations must be made with Museum prior to visit.
7. Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
The pass entitles one family (defined as a group of up to five individuals) free admission to the Roosevelt Presidential LIbrary and Museum ONLY. Pick up the pass at the Library or email staff@putnamvalleylibrary.org to have one emailed to you. Bearer must bring ID for entry on the day and date.

8. DIA Beacon
Located in a former Nabisco box-printing factory, Dia Beacon presents Dia’s collection of art from the 1960s to the present as well as special exhibitions and public programs. Dia Beacon provides public tours every Saturday and Sunday at 12 pm and 1:30 pm. Tours are free with admission. Pass is good for up to 5. Kids 18 and under are free. Hours: Friday–Monday, 10 am–4 pm

9. Putnam History Museum
The Putnam History Museum in Cold Spring, NY, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Putnam County, including the village of Cold Spring, the Hudson Highlands, and the historic West Point Foundry. Housed in a 19th-century schoolhouse, the museum offers a permanent exhibition on the West Point Foundry—featuring artifacts like the Parrott gun and interactive displays—alongside rotating exhibits that explore Indigenous history, the American Revolution, and women’s contributions to the region. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and events, the museum fosters community engagement and historical understanding. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 4 PM, the museum is ADA-accessible, free to visit (with a suggested $5 donation), and also includes a research library and gift shop.
