Before You Start: If you have ever had a card with any Mid-Hudson Library or you are not sure, please call us to see if we can update or reinstate your account. This will save you the trouble of filling out the forms and having your new card turned off because it is a duplicate.
Get a Card: Anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or pays taxes in the town of Putnam Valley can obtain a library card.
To obtain your library card, bring an ID and proof of current address with you to the library.
If you live outside the Mid-Hudson Library System, there is a fee of $40.00 a year to get a library card. Please call us at (845) 528-3242, if you have any questions regarding your eligibility.
Get an Instant Online Card: You can obtain an online card instantly by completing this form.
The online card allows access to e-books and e-audiobooks for 30 days. You will need to visit the library to verify your address and obtain a physical library card within the 30 day period.
Renew an Expired Card: To renew your library card complete this form or call us at (845) 528-3242. Please allow 48 hours for the card to update when completing the online form. This form is for cards that have recently expired or are about to expire.
