Fredrik Backman’s first novel is a heartwarming story filled with humor and sadness. Ove, at first glance, is bitter and difficult. As we read on we learn both the source of his grief and how he became the principled man he is. We bear witness to his heart opening in the most unlikely situations. Seeing the world through Ove’s eyes will provide a jumping-off point for some great discussions about life and community.

Copies of A Man Called Ove are still available to borrow from the Putnam Valley Library and a free download of the audiobook is available from https://www.hoopladigital.com/.
